Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has declared Friday, a public holiday to enable citizens travel to areas where they registered for the elections and vote.

Umahi, made the declaration on Thursday while addressing newsmen in Abakaliki, the state capital.

He said that the decision is to prevent people from travelling on Election Day.

Umahi assured the people of free, fair and credible elections.
