The students have been advised to avoid the temptation of being thugs and willing tools for electoral violence ahead of 2019 general elections in Nigeria.
The Secretary General National Association of Nigeria students (NANS), Zone B, Victor Ezenagu and Special Assistant to Enugu state government on students’ affair, Chidi Ilogebe gave the advice as they jointly embarked on a sensitization tour to the twenty four higher institutions in Enugu state.
Chidi Ilogebe said the tour aims to drive home the message on the need for violence free elections in 2019 and let the students understand the fact that their lives do not worth the ambition of any politician.
Also the Secretary, NANS Zone B, Victor Ezenagu said the youths and students in particular should see themselves as partners in nation building.
Ezenagu insisted that no reasonable youth will be used as thug and party to enthronement of clueless and violent politician into power.
However the sensitization tour aims to enlighten the students on the dangers of electoral violence and the roles of the youths in election.
