A ninety two years old woman and her thirteen years grandson have cried out for help after losing fortune and entire family house to fire outbreak in Ama-ogbelle Uno, Ezimo community, Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The ninety two years old woman, Mama Benedith Ugwu and her thirteen years grandson,  Chidozie Odo narrated how they escaped death on 13th December, 2018 when their four rooms and parlor family house was gulped by flames.

According to her Grandson, Chidozie Odo on the day of the incident, they noticed supply of high voltage of electricity late in the middle of the night, followed by busting of their electric bulbs; the next was the inferno leading to burning of their family house.

Also, an eye witness, Keneth Enya confirmed that many people in the community witnessed one or two destruction caused by the high voltage of electricity but regretted that the community could not control the fire outbreak at Mama Benedith Ugwu’s house.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, a son of the victim Reuben said the matter has been reported to the Central Police Station, Obollo-Afor, the community leaders and used the medium to seek for help.

 

Our correspondent Michael Ilediagu who paid a visit to the victims reported that Mama Benedeth Ugwu and her family members are now internally displaced taking shelter since three weeks ago in a relative house.
