In Agriculture, the Federal Government through the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has declined recognition of both the Agriculture and Allied Employees Union of Nigeria, and the Agriculture and Allied Workers Union, factions as unions in the Agriculture sector.
The Ministry has also withdrawn the Certificate of Registration issued to Agricultural and Allied Employees Union of Nigeria, AAEUN.
The unions had emerged following the disagreement of fusing into one and have been working at cross purposes for some time.
