Following the postponement of the general election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the United Kingdom’s government has urged Nigerians to be patient and support the democratic process.
British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, made the call at the weekend in Abuja.
She urged the public to come out to vote next weekend in the re-scheduled elections.
She also restated the High Commission’s continued support to Nigeria’s democracy and for the 2019 elections including redeploying their observer team to be present next weekend.
